Deepika Stopping To Achieve Her Goals

Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh not only shared an awesome chemistry in reel but they shared some romantic moment in the public also. During the promotional event of their latest flick, ‘Lafangey Parindey’ at Ghatkopar mall in Mumbai, Deepika turned to Neil and planted a kiss on his cheeks. The camerapersons present during the event did not miss the chance and immediately captured the intimate moment of Neil and Dips.
They interacted with their fans, posed for photographs and signed autographs. The interactive session of Neil-Deepika with their fans was limited but the duo filled up the moment with fun. Both the actors have a high expectation from the film where Neil is playing a tough fighter and Deepika a blind girl, who dances with perfection on skates.
Well, the way they went crazy and flaunted their likings for each other in public, they are right to be called, ‘Lafangey…’

Masand ‘Lafangey Parindey’ is pointless, boring

Only Yashraj Films — known for their squeaky-clean characters and their synthetic entertainers — would cast the freshly scrubbed, rosy-cheeked Neil Nitin Mukesh as a tough-as-nails street-fighter. In ‘Lafangey Parindey’, directed by Parineeta’s Pradeep Sarkar, Neil stars as Nandu, a Mumbai tapori who fights blindfolded in bare-knuckled bouts, vanquishing his opponents with a single blow. When Pinky Palkar (played by Deepika Padukone), a feisty figure-skater from his basti loses her sight in a hit-and-run accident, Nandu takes her under his wing and helps her become self-reliant. She in turn, convinces him to skate-dance with her so she can enter a talent contest that she’s forever had her eyes on (pun unintended)

Deepika’s craze for Shahrukh

Deepika Padukone debuted with Shahrukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’. Though she has climbed many stairs in her filmy career, she does not fill self sufficient. She wants some more of Shahrukh Khan, her first co-star. Shahrukh played an important part in shaping Deepika’s career. Being a first timer, it is always important that her co-stars should feel her relaxed and in this regard SRK helped her lot to make her comfortable when she first faced the camera for a film. Her craze for SRK can be measured from the fact that whenever she finds Shahrukh, she repeats the same dialogue from ‘Om Shanti Om’ where she played Shantipriya and Shahrukh Khan portrayed the role of Om Kapoor. Deepika quips, “While Shah Rukh was talking, all I did was sit and listen. This always happens to me! Every time I think I’m going to meet him I feel I have so much to say. Then I take one look at him and blank out!” Well, King Khan is one of the finest actors of Bollywood and we can understand Deepika’s feeling.

Back-to-back Deepika darshan on the cards!

Fans of Deepika Padukone will have a double treat this November-December when two of her films are scheduled to release back-to-back. Well, we are talking about BREAK KE BAAD and KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY which are releasing on consecutive Fridays. As per trade sources, the first to release will be Kunal Kohli’s BREAK KE BAAD, where Deepika is paired opposite teenage sensation Imran Khan. The film is directed by Danish Aslam and its scheduled release date is 26th November. A week later, that is 3rd December will witness the release of another Deepika Padukone starrer, the much anticipated KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY, with Abhishek Bachchan. This period film, based on Chittagong uprising, is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced jointly by Ashutosh and PVR Films. In both the films BREAK KE BAAD and KHELIEN HUM JEE JAAN SEY, audience will get to see two completely contrasting characters essayed by Deepika and that should indeed be an added attraction.

Deepika Padukone Ex BoyFriend Nihar Pandya In A Film

Deepika Padukone Ex BoyFriend Nihar Pandya In A Film Himesh Reshammiya’s estranged friend, Prashant Chadha, is directing Rome The Real Dope On Romeo starring Deepika Padukone’s ex-boyfriend, Nihar Pandya. The interesting bit about the flick is that certain scenes have been inspired from Nihar’s real-life break-up. Says a source connected to the film, “The hero’s first scene starts with a monologue in front of the mirror where he talks about worshipping his girlfriend for four years and then, being dumped unceremoniously in favour of a more successful man. He then starts his search for a famous lover, Romeo.”

Deepika Padukone’s dream comes true

Deepika Padukone Scandal With Siddhartha

Deepika Padukone Scandal With Siddhartha: So much has been talked and written about Siddhartha Mallya and Deepika Padukone though they have denied seeing each other. Interestingly, it’s the alleged couple, who sparks rumours and speculation. Once again they have given rumour mongers a field day by flirting with each other on internet.Deepika recently posted a photo of an old oven on a micro-blogging site and wrote, “Reminds me of the days when I would come back from school and bake chocolate cake for my mum,” to which Siddhartha responded, “Bake me a cake.” Then Deepika replied, “Bring home the Champions league trophy and I’ll bake a cake for you and your team!” It maybe recalled that IPL brought Siddhartha and Deepika together. They were spotted enjoying each other’s company while cheering for Bangalore Royal Challengers. They also attended the birthday bash of Salman Khan’s siblings Arpita and Arbaaz Khan and the special screening of Aamir Khan’s production Peepli Live together. And recently, Siddhartha cheered for Deepika at the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) in Mumbai. It was also reported that he had booked the tickets of Lafangey Parindey for his entire staff so that they could watch his alleged girlfriend on the big screen.

Christensen, Thai Model All Set To Star In Bollywood

Christensen: In recent years Bollywood blockbusters have increasingly featured western actors, with one, Alice Patten, playing the lead female role in the 2006 release “Rang de Basanti.” But far eastern faces have been less common in the Mumbai-based film industry, except for the occasional gangster slot. Christensen, who is well known in the Thai fashion and advertising world and who has also released a pop album, said she was excited about her role in the film. “I have grown up on Bollywood films. I have seen many of them in dubbed version. I am more than happy today to be a part of this film project,” she said at a cast party this week in a Mumbai nightclub. “I don’t know how to speak Hindi and I am sure I will pick up this language while shooting,” said the actress jokingly, before explaining that her role was mainly in English. The film, “Bombay to Bangkok,” is about a Mumbai chef who ends up in the Thai capital after impersonating a doctor. Shooting will take place in both Thailand and India. “I noticed that though we are different people there are many similarities between our cultures. This would be one of the highlights of my film ‘Bombay to Bangkok’,” said director Nagesh Kuknoor. “All Thai models are gorgeous. It is difficult to choose and pinpoint who is better than whom. I chose Lena because I felt she could communicate more easily and she is beautiful.” The film, which is being produced by veteran filmaker Subhash Ghai’s company, Mukta Searchlight, is expected to release in the middle of this year.

Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh (pictured left), who made her debut with the critically-acclaimed “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi” in 2005, was conferred the Young Women Achiever Award-2009 in Mumbai on Monday. “There’s nothing like combining our passion with the profession that we choose. And that is exactly what I did. Celina Jaitley Wants To Work In A Bengali Film

Celina Jaitley has already dabbled in Telugu and Kannada films and the former beauty queen now wants to work in a Bengali film, preferably one with Rituparno Ghosh. “I have spent a lot of time in West Bengal and this is the reason I can easily associate myself with the place, culture and the language. I would really love towork in a Bengali movie because I feel they make very emotional and interesting  movies,” Celina told. “The way they weave stories is fascinating. They simply touch the human chord. I would love to work with Ritu-da (Rituparno Ghosh). This would be one of my targets for the next year,” she said. Celina is riding high after winning the best female actor award for her performance in the English film ‘Love Has No Language’ at the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) held Nov 10-20. The movie was a New Zealand entry at the film festival. “This year has been so good. Winning this award has been an icing on the cake. These awards work as a motivation factor and help you perform better. As the role was a bit different from the conventional roles I do, it worked,” said the actress. “I have always seen that whenever I have attempted something different, I have been appreciated,” she added. ‘Love Has No Language’, an engaging romantic movie, was directed by Ken Khan and stars New Zealand actor Ben Mitchell as well as Hindi film actors Rati Agnihotri and Kiran Kumar. The 28-year-old, who has featured in Hindi movies like ‘Janasheen’, ‘No Entry’ and ‘Golmaal Returns’, has seven movies in her kitty and is confident that she will make her presence felt on the big screen next year. The model-turned-actress doesn’t understand why people question her if she opts to do only a few movies. “If Aamir Khan does one movie at a time, he is applauded but if Celina Jaitley chooses to do a few movies, she is criticised. Why such disparity?” the actress asked. Apart from acting, Celina is involved with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and is also a gay rights activist. “In my free time, I love to work for the causes I strongly feel for. All these things are no substitute for romance but they are something that I feel responsible for,” she said. “I choose to live my life fully and it deserves appreciation,” she added.

Celina Jaitley Knwari till marriage

Bold and beautiful Celina Jaitley is not a big mouth but she stands up for what she believes in and is quite vocal about it. The hot actress has stunning answers for questions that normally make females blush. At a recently held promotional event for her new movie, Accident On Hill Road on TV channel Zoom. Celina gave some of the honest replies you have ever heard from a woman. When asked how sexuality. In Indian cinema and in our society has undergone a change, she replied, “I feel sex never changes. Sex is the same, like it was ten years ago, (or) during the Kamasutra days. Even now it’s the same. What has changed is that people want to be politically correct or diplomatic while talking on this.

Celina Jaitley and Baba Ramdev

Where Celina Jaitley openly supports the gay community in India, Baba Ramdev has claimed that homosexuality is a disease which he can cure. Both being on opposite camps, it is but natural that both will hurl accusations on each other. This is what Baba had commented about Celina, “These actresses know nothing about Bhartiya sanskriti. They stay away from their parents and have no morals. Unke partner har mahine badalte hain.” This comment has obviously offended Celina who is not the one to take anything lying down. She retorts back saying, “Well, isn’t it strange that this great Brahamachari seems to know more about my sex life then. I may know myself? I couldn’t be more amused when I heard him making such statements. I really believe though that he himself does not know. The meaning of true ‘Brahamacharya’.” Celina also answers back on Baba’s comment that she lacks the knowledge of Indian culture. She says, “He has also challenged on my knowledge of ‘bhartiya sanskriti’. Well, this is my take on it:

Why Celina gave up makeup?

Celina Jaitley has always been a glamorous actor, in all the movies that she has done so far. So it comes as a surprise to know that she has accepted Rohit Shetty’s proposal to deglamourise herself for the sequel to Shree Asthavinayak’s laugh riot ‘Golmaal’.”Rohit and Ashtavinayak have created magic with ‘Golmaal’ and I loved the film! No way was I going to give up the opportunity of being a part of the magical return of ‘Golmaal’!” says Celina, justifying her acceptance of the role.According to Shetty, “We were looking out for a girl who is very glamorous in real life but the role would be that of a completely opposite person in the film.Celina will be playing a very normal, simple and different girl in ‘Golmaal Returns’, opposite Shreyas Talpade. She is the sort of girl who for some reason everyone is searching for in the film!”Titled ‘Golmaal Returns’, the movie stars Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Anjana Sukhani, and, of course, Celina Jaitley.

Not long back, Tanushree Dutta was replaced by Rakhi Sawant in Horn Ok Pleasse owing to her problems with Nana Patekar. The history here seems to repeat itself coz, once again, Tanushree has been ousted from a film and replaced by Celina Jaitley this time. The movie here in question is Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision’s Run Bhola Run.. It seems that Tanushree had shot for the film for two days but was apparently not happy with the production company and had started throwing tantrums. The members did not take to this attitude problem kindly.. So it was Out Tanushree and in Celina. Celina has already done a shot for the film at Essel World. Celina confirmed that she is working on the film.. he said, I have started shooting for Run Bhola Run.I have heard so much about Neeraj Vohra and his working style. Im looking forward to having a great time on the sets. Parag Desai, the official spokesperson of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, said, Tanushree had some combination dates issues, so Tanushree is no longer part of the film. We thought of replacing her with Celina as we have worked with her in Golmaal Returns. The film is fast racing towards completion. However, Tanushree Dutta said, There were no problems during the shooting of Run Bhola Run. I had to opt out of the film as there were date issues. The film got delayed and I could not accommodate the dates due to my prior commitments. I had shot for the film only for a day and that too only one hour, and not for two days. I have very good working relations with Ashtavinayak as I have done Bhaagam Bhag with them earlier. We have been trying to work together but I guess its jinxed.

Out Tanushree, In Celina!

Celina in a serious role after ages!

Celina Jaitley is looking to revamp her image with her forthcoming film, Accident On Hill Road, where she does a serious role after a long time. The actress has changed her look for the film. Interestingly, she says accidents do change your life at some level – even the smallest ones. When Celina was a teenager and stayed in Lucknow, she had a minor accident while riding her scooter. After that, her dad took away the keys from her for ever! “I had an accident which was not serious. I was riding a scooter and my cousin was sitting behind me. We fell down, but thankfully, didn’t get a single scratch. We just hit our heads but we were wearing helmets,” says the actress. “My dad took away the scooter from me after that!” Coming back to the film, shooting for the accident scene was quite eventful for Celina. “A woman thought that an accident had actually happened and started screaming,” she says.

Celina evolving as a speaker

Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley has boldly spoke about many issues in the past. Recently she backed the issue of gay rights in India. However now she is all geared up for acceptance of minorities (religious as well as sexual) in corporate circuit. She will speak about the issue in a seminar held by her. However many companies are already approaching her to speak on same issues at their workplace. And she has accepted one such invitation of a well known international bank. “I am so happy that corporate are taking this initiative. It’s a big cultural revolution and at least people are making an effort towards peace and acceptance,” says Celina.

Celina Jaitley faces racism in India

A suburban Mumbais 7 star hotel was in news recently for denying entry to three Marathi actors because of their Kolhapuri chappals. Now, Celina Jaitley faces a tinge of racism in the same hotel where she went into the sports lounge with a gay foreigner friend of hers. There a German guy made obscene gestures at her. Later he came upto her to tell her in German in picturesque detail what he’d like to do to her. Celina asked the hotel’s authorities to deal with the situation, since they hadn’t allowed her bodyguard in, but they coolly said that they did not even know him. That was it. Celina left that day but returned the next day with three vans of cops, got the man out of his room and confronted him. He fell to his knees and cried and begged saying he has a wife and children back home. He should’ve thought of them when he treated me to such vulgar intentions. I made him write an apology and then for his family’s sake decided not to press charges. The worst thing was, nobody in the hotel wanted to co-opearate with me in dealing with this situation, says a fuming Celina.

ahul Bose Celina Jaitley walk the catwalk

The show, aimed to merge fashion with the seven sensations in a contemporary setting to create a unique, exclusive and edgy experience, last night exhibited the collection of fashion guru Narenda Kumar Ahmed and Zubair Kirmani. Talking to reporters here, Celina Jaitley said, ”We should promote fashion across the country as it does make you feel good.” ”That is why, we are taking big designers, medium designers and spreading all over the country,” she added. Celina said she still feels that she is a 24-year-old girl when it comes to walking the ramp. ”I started my modelling career at 16. And when it is about the ramp walk, I feel that I am still 24,” the actress said. The Seven Sensations Fashion Tour showcases renowned designers, blending their designs creatively with a ‘Sensation’ based theme in each city to provide an exclusive fashion jamboree.

Celina Jaitley’s new look!

Celina Jaitley’s strikingly unconventional looks manage to turn heads everywhere. She was recently spotted at the music launch of her upcoming movie sporting a totally new look. Her front bangs coupled with the heavily kohl-ed eyes drew glances everywhere. She has been receiving tons of compliments and some even say that she reminds them of American pop sensation Katy Perry.
When contacted, Celina amusingly quipped, “Yes, a lot of people have said that I look like Katy Perry in certain shots but that is just a co-incidence. Katy and I also happen to endorse the same brand (Proactiv).”
Celina’s new look is for her forthcoming movie ‘Hello darling’. In the movie, Celina essays the role of ‘Candy Fernandes’, a Catholic Anglo Indian girl. The look was designed keeping the same in mind. Incidentally, Celina’s look was thought of two years back when she signed the movie

Bollywood bombshell Bipasha Basu, who was last seen in ‘Lamhaa’ in a much deglamourized role, has turned very sensitive and serious towards issue based films. The actress is now going to work in a movie titled ‘Aakrosh’ that deals with honor killings and she will play a school teacher.
The actress has now started thinking about the issue based films and their future. She said that the issue based films should be made with small budget and the stars should not worry about their fees while acting in such films.
Bipasha also said that the stars should not charge any fee to work in such issue based films. She thinks this is the only option to make such films commercially viable. Her last movie ‘Lamhaa’ showcased the problems faced by the Kashmir people but the movie failed to draw well at the box office.

Bollywood to see more of Barbara Mori in days to come

Barbara Mori has created stirs in our tinsel town, not only with her stunning looks and sensuous performance in the forthcoming ‘Kites’, but also due to her alleged linkup with co-star Hrithik Roshan. But, even as her debut venture in Bollywood is yet to hit the screens, the sensational foreign beauty has been offered another plum role here. Even as her much anticipated ‘Kites’ is yet to release, foreign sensation Barbara Mori has bagged yet another prestigious Bollywood offer. As such, the beauty will be coming to India once again in January for the shoot of her next flick. Barbara Mori is much impressed by India and Bollywood, of course, and says, “I’ve another film in India to be shot in January. I can’t talk about it right now, but I can tell you it’s a big film. I’d love to do many films in India.” “I love all the Indian people. They’re so lovely. They make me feel so much at home. In Bollywood, Susanne wanted me to meet every friend of hers. So she took me to a lot of places. We went partying all night at Shah Rukh Khan’s home. I met many actors and actresses but I can’t remember their names. They are all so warm,” she adds. Talking about ‘Kites’, Barbara said, “I’m not nervous. I’m excited. ‘Kites’ is my first film for this part of the world. I had never watched Bollywood films before ‘Kites’. But after I realised I’d be part of ‘Kites’ I really enjoyed watching some Bollywood films. I loved Hrithik’s film ‘Lakshya’.” Hmm… the actress also has a lot to say about her co-star. She is all praises for him and says, “I feel there’s a very special chemistry with him. I’ve done a lot of movies with many other actors but nothing like Hrithik.”

Barbara Mori Wants To Star With Shah Rukh Khan

Jostled violently by crowds, she got hurt in the knees and one of toe nails was ripped off, but ‘Kites’ star Barbara Mori is not willing to give up on Bollywood and now wants to do a film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Barbara Mori quoted, “I would love to do more Bollywood films. I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan.” There was plenty of hooting and whistling as soon as the cast of ‘Kites’ arrived at the mall on the outskirts of the national capital. But this soon gave way to mayhem when fans went berserk trying to get a glimpse of their favourite stars. A source said, “The crowd was unmanageable and everyone was pushing each other and Barbara was hurt. Her knee was scratched and one of her toe nails was ripped off.” Hrithik was left fuming after the security was breached. ‘Kites’ grossed over Rs.21 crore on its opening day and has become the second highest opening-day grosser after ‘3 Idiots’. The film has also caught the fancy of the American media, making it perhaps the most reviewed Bollywood film on opening day.

KITES MOVIE REVIEW

ince the day it was announced, Kites has been surrounded by controversy, rumor, and hype. Directed by Bollywood outsider Anurag Basu working on his first big budget film, Kites was a gamble for producer Rakesh Roshan. Even starring the notoriously dedicated Hrithik Roshan, success was not guaranteed – the lack of proper song picturizations, the unknown heroine, and the foreign setting were all gambles. Not to mention that the cast and crew have been taking every opportunity to remind viewers that Kites is not meant to be a Bollywood film, a strategy that (at best) seems disrespectful to the Bollywood loving crowds who the makers of Kites hope turn up at their screenings. But after seeing the film, none of that matters because Anurag Basu has given us an amazing film which combines the gritty style he perfected in Gangster: A Love Story with a big dose of Rakesh Roshan crowd pleasing élan. In other word, Kites is a pure Bollywood entertainer from start to finish.
The story unfolds through a series of flashbacks in the trademarked Anurag Basu style. When we first meet J (Hrithik Roshan), he is in rough shape – alone, bloodied, and bruised. Soon, we’re whipped back three months to the shiny streets of Las Vegas where we follow J’s quest for financial stability. He falls in with the daughter of a gangster (Kangana Ranaut) and seems set for life until he meets his future sister-in-law Kangana Ranaut (Barbara Mori) and sparks fly. Through a series of misunderstandings and bad choices, Natasha and J end up on the run together and end up further igniting the flames the passion.
Anurag’s script is very clever and he often sets up scenes that appear to be resolving one way only to flip it around and totally foil the audience’s expectations. He walks the tightrope between earnest and ironic as nimbly as Pran in Don, never falling too far to one side or the other. For every scene that is gleeful in its campy ridiculousness (an old-fashioned Western saloon shoot out, for example) there is one that touches the heart with its emotional sincerity. And J and his Mexican paramour journey from the cliched love-at-first-sight fantasy couple to a pair of lovers who will willingly risk their lives for one another. While the plot of Kites is a delicious, but manufactured confection, the emotion laid out between J and Natasha is the real and honest core of the film.
And the actors are more than up to the challenges laid out by Anurag. Hrithik Roshan is every inch the star of the film but he doesn’t play the invulnerable Bollywood hero. Much like in Jodhaa-Akbar, his grand heroics are tempered by scenes of emotional vulnerability. Matching him in everything except dancing is Barbara Mori, who was quite the revelation. She has a natural charisma and charm that comes across even as she has to communicate in broken English. The supporting cast is also excellent from Kangana’s spoiled daughter act to Nicholas Brown’s sultry gangster and Kabir Bedi’s gruff casino owner.
As for the music, there is one fantastic dance number early on in the film (‘Fire’) featuring Kangana and Hrithik, since it seems that Anurag subscribes to the sensible school of film making in which one never casts Bollywood’s best danceer without giving him at least one dance number. The other songs were picturized over montages and worked well in context. The surprised standout was ‘Kites in the Sky’, sung by Hrithik himself. While the song had not impressed as a standalone track, seen as part of the film, it is a touching and emotional song. Hrithik’s untrained vocals lend an air of earnestness and simplicity to the scene that a professional would not have been able to capture.
While the film certainly has the potential to cross over to an international audience, whether it does or not is irrelevant because the Kites team have proven that it is possible to make a film that interprets mainstream Bollywood in all its big budget glory into a film style that works on both the world stage and at home

Wedding will be by year end or early next year

Ayesha Takia and boyfriend Farhan Azmi have decided to get married. The two had been seeing each other for around 3 years and were quite committed and open about their relationship, so the news of an impending marriage comes as little surprise. The date has not been announced, but the wedding is expected to be at the end of the year or the beginning of 2009. Ayesha’s non happening career could have been partly responsible for the decision. A talented actress, Ayesha has not had any hits, despite doing some decent films. Her policy to “not expose” had limited her options in Bollywood where nothing sells like glamour and a bit of skin show. She was last seen in De Talli!, which fared poorly as well. Ayesha and Farhan, who is a restauranteur and Samajwadi Party politician Abu Asim Azmi’s son, have plans to set up a boutique hotel in Goa.

Ayesha wants to let action do the talking

It seems like Ayesha Takia has been motivated by her contemporary actresses and wants to take up action. She wants to do what Priyanka Chopra has done in Shahrukh Khan‘s Don and is once again doing it in the upcoming Abhishek Bachchan starrer, DRONA. Even Deepika Padukone’s martial arts prowess in Akshay Kumar’s Chandni Chowk To China seems to have inspired her. The normally sober Koena Mitra too is doing her own stunts in the proposed Hollywood flick Karma. As per Ayesha she has already worked in most genres and now wants to prove herself as an action star. She adds that action movies are all set to make a comeback. Well dear Ayesha, here is a suggestion, why not try some stunts/action in your Salman Khan starrer Wanted Dead and Alive!

Ayesha Takia is a Big girl now

“It seems I was the only non-smoker in No Smoking. Everyone else was busy smoking all the time, ” laughs Ayesha Takia. After her glorious performance in Dor, she was seen in Anurag Kashyap’s anti-smoking film
